Natasha is the type of student that every sensei dreams about having. She is hardworking, focussed, respectful, and has a great attitude. She is also a wonderful role model for the younger girls, showing the perfect balance between being a beast during training/competition, and being a polished, refined, and caring person outside of the ring.
Last May, Natasha experienced her first karate competition, competing in the 16/17 blue/black belt division at the provincial championships… and finished in the top 4 (considering she is actually still only a green belt, this is quite the accomplishment). She is currently ranked 4th in BC for her age and weight class, and has only been training seriously for 10 months. Natasha is a perfect example of hard work paying off. She has sacrificed many Saturdays of her already busy schedule to make time for extra trainings. She has transformed as a fighter, and has made her sensei very proud.
It is for these reasons and many more that Natasha has been selected as October’s Student of the Month. Congratulations Natasha!
