Congratulations to Parvin for being named October’s Student of the Month!
Parvin is one of the leaders of the dojo, and an ideal example of what a karate black belt should be. Parvin is polite, kind, and has a very warm disposition. However she can also back up her belt and fight like a champion. In fact, two weeks ago, Parvin earned a spot on the BC Provincial Karate Team and is currently ranked first in the province for her age and weight class.
It is a pleasure seeing Parvin grow into such a strong woman. Her hard work and dedication really does pay off. Very rarely (if ever) does Parvin have a class where she is not covered in sweat by the end of it. Even if she is training with all boys, Parvin does not back down. The Saturday before the BC Team selection tournament, Parvin trained and fought with four 16/17 year old young men who were also competing for a spot on the provincial team. Not once did she complain about it, whereas most in her position would find it too intimidating.
Parvin not only is a champion inside the ring, but also in the class room. She is an honor roll student, who excels at whatever she chooses because she is willing to put in the work.
Congratulations on the success Parvin. You are proof that hard work pays off!
