Stephanie has had a great start to her karate season this year, and shown tremendous growth in several areas. She has shown serious commitment to her training and kicked up the intensity. On average Stephanie trains three days a week and sometimes even trains privately on Saturdays specifically for competition. She has shown the desire to grow as a competitor and one day hopes to represent the dojo at the BC Winter Games, BC Provincial Championships, and even the national championships one day!
Stephanie has also stepped up and started her role as a Sempai in the dojo, assisting with teaching some of the younger classes. She show’s a natural ability and shows initiative in this area. She is doing a great job and is loved by the younger students.
On top of these accomplishments, Stephanie also recently competed at the 2016 Sato Cup tournament where she earned a gold medal in her kumite division.
