Hi everyone,
I hope everyone has adjusted back into their regular training schedule.
Please read below for our fall announcements:
1) National Day for Truth and Reconciliation – There will be no classes held Thursday September 30th. Please contact us directly to arrange for a makeup class in another program.
2) No shoes during training – With regard to our shiny new mats, no shoes will be permitted while training. Please wear shoes while entering the training area and step directly onto the mats after removing shoes.
4) Masks – Masks are to be worn at all times when inside the church building (including during training).
5) Belt/stripe testing – Wednesday, September 29th (Monday/Wednesday programs) and Thursday, October 7th (Tuesday/Thursday programs) will be our first belt/stripe testing off the school year. Be sure to put in extra effort at home to ensure a successful testing!
6) Sickness – As we get back into the school year and winter colds begin circulating, please remember to stay home if showing any symptoms of illness. We were fortunate last year to have zero covid-19 exposures at the dojo, and this is largely due to both parents and students doing their part and staying home when showing any signs of illness. Thank you! Let’s keep it up.
7) Covid-19 safety protocols – Please follow the links below to see our covid-19 safety protocols.
8) Tshirts/hoodies – For those who placed an order during the summer time, your order has arrived and is available for pickup anytime.
10) Private and semi-private Saturday sessions – We’ll be starting these training sessions up again mid-September. If you are someone who regularly participates in these, please stay tuned for more information.
11) Karate uniform – We’re back to wearing full uniform (gi pants, gi top, and belt). Please remember to wear this to each class.
Take care and train hard!
