Happy new year!
We hope the holidays have been good to everyone, and that everyone had a chance to relax and spend lots of time with close friends and family.
2015 promises to be a very exciting year with many special events taking within our academy.
Firstly, we will be holding a stripe and belt grading at the end of the month on Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th. Note: the testing days have been changed from their regular times on Wednesday and Thursday due to the Canadian National Karate Cahmpionships taking place from the 28th-31st.
Second, we are once again starting to raise money for the BC Cancer foundation through our Kicking out Cancer Campaign. We did great last year in raising $5000 towards cancer research, but this year we our determined to do better. From January 5th, we will be at West Bay Elementary teaching self-defense and character development to raise money for Cancer research. If you are interested in having us at your school, please contact us to arrange a possible date and schedule.
Finally, competition season has begun! As mentioned above, the 2015 National Karate Championships will be taking place from the 28th-31st. The event is being held at the Richmond Olympic Oval and will host many top athletes from across the county.
