Thank you!

Thank you!

Hi everyone,

A quick update on our dojo's flooding situation,

First of all, thank you to everyone for their kindness and support as we navigate this tricky time in our dojo's history.

Special thank you to the parents and senior students who've come out to help with clean up and moving preparation. Your help has speed things up tremendously, and is greatly appreciated. Thank you also to those who've reached out to donate. Your generosity and kindness are overwhelming! Truly, we're blessed to have such a supportive dojo family.

Unfortunately, we will not be back in the lower hall training space for awhile, as it is being renovated and repaired due to the significant water damage last weekend. The silver lining to this, is that we will have an upgraded, shiny new dojo space to train in when we return! Thankfully, we're able to continue running our sessions in the upstairs lounge as usual until the space is ready. This is big news for us, so we're very grateful we can make this work! Thank you St. David's United Church!

We're also currently looking for a space to run our Golden League event, which was scheduled for Saturday November 23rd. If we're unable to find a space, we'll postpone this event. Please stay tuned for an update regarding this.

Sadly, we will not be hosting an official Halloween party this year. We just don't have the right space for what we had planned. Instead, students are still encouraged to attend in their regular classes on Thursday October 31st (3:30-4:15 and 4:20-5:15). Classes from 5:20 and onwards are cancelled on Halloween. Any student who's class is cancelled is welcome to join the 4:20 class instead.

Thank you again for your support and understanding during this time. The kind messages and support are much appreciated!

Sensei Matt
