Nationals 2025 Update

Nationals 2025 Update

What an unforgettable event. Couldn’t be prouder of our team. In terms of results, we’ve crowned 3 national champions, and qualified 8 athletes for Canada’s jr. National Team. We had some set backs this past year with our dojo due to a flood, and I am beyond proud of our athletes for their resiliency, adaptability, dedication, and effort to make these results possible.

🥈🥈

🥉🥉🥉🥉🥉

More important than medals was seeing our team’s energy and positive attitudes throughout the entire event. We came together and supported one another like family through the highs and lows. Medal or not, I couldn’t be prouder.

A big thank you to our dojo’s volunteers as well! We had 10 representatives from our dojo volunteering at this event. Without your support, this event would not be possible.

The icing on the cake, the BC team finished 1st overall in the medal standings! I cannot remember the last time this happened. Big thank you to @toshiuchiage@shalascott and the other coaches and support staff for getting the job done while making the event so enjoyable. Can’t imagine doing it with another group of people. Congratulations to the other BC team athletes, who crushed it with their performances. 💪💪

Lastly, a big congratulations to my sensei and friend, @sandeepgillbka, for being awarded the first ever Development Coach of the Year. You’ve paved the way for the rest of us, and have always been a visionary. Thanks for the wonderful example to follow. 👏💪❤️
