BELT AND STRIPE TESTING

Date: Wednesday May 30th and Thursday May 31st

SKILLS COMPETITION
Date: Saturday May 26th

Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

Location: Hollyburn Country Club
Ages: 4-9 years old
Cost: $35

This event is specifically designed to introduce competition to our younger students in a safe and fun environment! Participants will be awarded a trophy for completing their events and doing their best. Some examples of the skills tested are: agility, technique, endurance, reaction time, and many more.

Space is limited for this event so please contact us quickly to secure a spot.

CANADA OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Good luck to all athletes registered to compete at this prestigious event!

Date: Saturday June 2nd, and Sunday June 3rd

Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

Competition Team Only

SUMMER CAMPS
Due to the amount of interest we have had for summer camps, we have decided to add a second camp to accommodate those who missed out on the first one!

Week 1 Camp Date: July 16th-20th
Week 2 Camp Date: August 7th-10th

Time Schedule: 9am-2pm

Ages: 6-11years

Spaces are limited for these camps (Week 1 is already full), so please contact to register as soon as possible.

SUMMER UNIFORM

West Van Karate Academy t-shirts are now permitted to be worn in lieu of a regular karate uniform top during classes.

GROUSE GRIND

West Van Karate Academy will be making our ascent up the Grouse Grind once again this summer!
In the past we’ve had a great turnout for this and are excited to once again show the Grouse Grind what we are capable of.

Date: TBD
Age: Due to the difficulty of the climb (it’s called the ‘grind’ for a reason), we are suggesting only students aged 6 and up attend this event (students aged 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent).

Please contact us if you wish to attend. Once a date has been chosen for the event an email will be sent out to all those who have expressed interest in attending containing all event details.
